Funding Guidelines and Eligibility

The Lillis Foundation is interested in projects — often in the early stages of development — with a realistic, achievable funding plan and a compelling impact. But, unfortunately, we can't assist every endeavor.

Eligibility

Only organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and/or classified as a public charity under IRC Section 509 (a)(1),(2) or (3) are eligible for grants.

What We Won't Fund

Generally we will not consider funding requests for:

• Ongoing operating support
• Endowments or reserve funds
• General fund drives
• Debt retirement
• Sponsorship of fundraising events
• Capital campaigns
• Religious organizations for religious purposes
• Propagandizing, influencing elections or legislation
