The Lillis Foundation operates several programs designed to enhance educational opportunities.
Learn MoreThe grantmaking endeavors of our Trustees focus on 3 areas of society: Education, Children, and Seniors.
Learn MoreThe SAF program has been designed to create a financial safety net for students within participating schools.
Learn MoreThank you very much for paying for me to go to State Theatre! It was an experience that I will not soon forget. I learned so much there, such as, Musical Improv, and I also had the chance to participate in Grand Valley High School’s Improv Showcase. Also, the privilege of seeing the shows “She Kills Monsters” and “The Odd Couple” was absolutely fantastic! Once again, thank you graciously for your contribution to making my freshman year great!
It's hard to imagine better partners in public education than the Lillis Foundation. For more than a decade they have been steadfast in their support for students in need. Incredibly, they have expanded their support from students in high schools to middle schools to students who are pursuing undergraduate studies across the nation. If you are a school administrator, their phone call is one of the best you will ever receive. This family foundation truly makes a difference in the lives of Colorado students.
So many opportunities have been made available to our students through The Lillis Foundation. Students have been able to take college courses, obtain athletic equipment, and participate in Career and Technical organizations that they otherwise would not have been able to include in their budget. These funds put all students at the high school on an equal playing field in the classroom while representing our school in a wide variety of activities.
The reason our students do so well is because they don’t have to worry about where their next class fee is coming from or how they are going to pay for the weeks’ worth of charged lunches- largely in part of your fabulous Foundation and your continual generosity.
Since partnering with Littleton High School (LHS) in the fall of 2002 the Lillis Foundation has been a cornerstone in the success of our most underprivileged and financially impacted students. It is incredible to think of the difference, the positive impact, and just how many students The Lillis Foundation has helped over the years. LHS is incredibly lucky and thankful to be partnered with such a fabulous organization that provides educational opportunities for our students that otherwise wouldn't exist.
The Lillis Fund Grant has allowed economically disadvantaged students to participate in extra-curricular activities and in leadership training workshops and travel that they would not have been able to otherwise. Students who have submitted applications and then awarded funds to pursue additional opportunities have been very appreciative, as have their families.
The beauty of our partnership with The Lillis Foundation was exactly that -- the partnership. When we first met with Chuck and Gwen they simply listened to us. They were able to take what we said and helped us identify our greatest need. From there we worked together to create a plan and its implementation. Mutual respect, ongoing open communication, annual accountability reports, and a transition plan led to Anchor Center's successful Lillis Internship Program. The ability to be flexible with the funding in order to address changing priorities was invaluable. The shared commitment to the missions of organizations the Lillis family supports and their continued friendship are priceless.
The Castle Rock Senior Activity Center is so very grateful for the funding and assistance of The Lillis Foundation. Through scholarship funding provided by The Lillis Foundation for low income seniors, a number of worthy individuals have been able to live out our motto of “loving life in the second half.” They have been able to participate in those “bucket list” items like whitewater rafting, making friends on our bus trips, and so much more; it’s made all the difference in their lives. In addition, hundreds of area seniors are keeping sharp and look forward to lifelong learning through “Active Minds” monthly lecture programs, an educational program sponsored by The Lillis Foundation.
Now that my time at Northwestern is officially coming to a close, I wanted to express my gratitude again for all the support you have given me and my family these past years. We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives and your support has been pivotal in allowing me to reach my goals. I am thrilled to be leaving Northwestern with a successful record and moving forward to beginning my career. My new job has been great so far and I’m sure it will grow more rewarding as I am presented with greater challenges and opportunities. If there is ever anything I can do to help with the Foundation, please do not hesitate to ask and keep in touch. I’d love to hear how you and the Foundation are doing. Again, you have my sincerest thanks!
As I graduated from Saint Mary’s college, it was always in the back of my mind that I wouldn’t be there receiving my diploma and shaking the President’s hand if it hadn’t been for you. Thank you so much for supporting me throughout the years and financing my stellar education! I cannot thank you enough for making me into the woman I am today. You made my dreams come true and I am forever grateful for this Foundation and Its vision.
